In fourth grade, I went on a field trip to the local Apple store. My mission was simple: design my very own website through Piczo. In those days, Piczo was a game-changing website builder, capable of adding text, images, videos, and music to a site.

Once I figured out how the Apple mouse and keyboard worked, I was immediately off to the races. I rapidly imported GIFs of various Nintendo characters across the screen, and decided that the best way to distinguish headers was by the number of trailing exclamation points. It was the most incredible web creation, and it was unlike anything the Genius Bar employee had ever witnessed.

I named this masterpiece: kirbyrocksoutloud.piczo.com. Being my first creation, I promptly burned it onto a compact disc, and enclosed it in an orange envelope.

Meng. began from that same sense of curiosity and embodies the same integrity to the craft. In every project, I still carry the whimsy of that 4th grader at the Apple store, albeit with some new tricks. In a way, I'm picking up from where I left off.
